Dessert & Ice Cream Chef/Assistant [Malaysia]

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! MR AISU is seeking skilled and dedicated individuals to join our Ice Cream Dessert Production Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality ice cream bases, mix-ins, and sauces according to established recipes and standards
  • Operate and maintain ice cream machines, mixers, and other kitchen equipment
  • Monitor ingredient inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
  • Follow proper food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe and clean working environment
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production and timely delivery of ice cream products
  • Assist in developing new ice cream flavors, experimenting with ingredients and techniques
  • Contribute to menu development and participate in tastings and feedback sessions
  • Maintain accurate records of recipes, production logs, and temperature controls
  • Assist in training new kitchen crew members on production procedures and best practices

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a pastry or culinary environment is required
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Understanding of recipe scaling, measuring, and portion control
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot kitchen equipment effectively
  • Creativity and willingness to experiment with flavors and ingredients
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Culinary education or relevant certification is a plus

Everyone in the shop including team members and customers are required to wear mask and confirmed had 2 doses of vacccine. Close contact is minimized through a numbers of safety precautions and strictly enforced by team members.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Brinchang: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

  • STM/STPM (Preferred)

Experience:

  • pastry/dessert: 1 year (Required)
