Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality ice cream bases, mix-ins, and sauces according to established recipes and standards
- Operate and maintain ice cream machines, mixers, and other kitchen equipment
- Monitor ingredient inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Follow proper food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe and clean working environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production and timely delivery of ice cream products
- Assist in developing new ice cream flavors, experimenting with ingredients and techniques
- Contribute to menu development and participate in tastings and feedback sessions
- Maintain accurate records of recipes, production logs, and temperature controls
- Assist in training new kitchen crew members on production procedures and best practices
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a pastry or culinary environment is required
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Understanding of recipe scaling, measuring, and portion control
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot kitchen equipment effectively
- Creativity and willingness to experiment with flavors and ingredients
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Culinary education or relevant certification is a plus
