GroupM | Executive, Commercial Billing [Vietnam]

This role reports to Commercial Billing Lead

Measures of success -

In three months:

  • Be conversant with Agencies / Finance Structure.
  • Be familiar with day-to-day billing to clients of Agencies /GroupM.
  • Be well-understand about the requirement and policy of invoice issuance, net sales/revenue recording.
  • Good understanding of all necessary controls, compliances in client policy and client contract.

In six months:

  • Be proactive in fastening client billing and disputed invoices resolved.

In 12 months:

  • Be more supportive and leading to Agencies/GroupM to improve billing due and minimize disputed invoices.


Responsibilities of the role:


Client services & compliance -

  • Handle full scope relate to the billing of the Agency’s clients allocated by Commercial Billing Lead to ensure that invoices issued following the process and timeline
  • Identify accrual of media spend & revenue by monthly based on media activities
  • Support Agencies/GroupM to review billing documents related to media services
  • Collaborate with Agencies/GroupM to solve disputed invoices
  • Strictly follow client contractual terms relating to billing and payment
  • Comply with ICFR relating to client billing, aged accrual
  • Support kinds of audits (e.g internal audit, client audit)

Finance -


  • Push/Remind Agencies/GroupM to submit the accuracy of billing documents for invoicing on due to clean up unbilled balance without long aging
  • Prepare journal vouchers for accrual of media spend, fees, bonus to ensure that revenue recognition completeness.

Reporting -


  • Manage and review & follow the relevant reconciliations (e.g AR reconciliation, Credit note review, etc.)

Others -


  • Ad-hoc tasks allocated by Commercial Head/Billing Lead


What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor of Finance and Accounting is preferred.
  • 2 years experience in billing accounting for international service companies is much advantageous
  • Proactive, responsible, hard-working, teamwork with analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to deliver results in a highly motivated, demanding environment.
  • Basic English communication
  • Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, ability to apply technology to tasks.
  • Experienced in Media/Advertising industry will be an added advantage.
